This book is over simplistic. An unintelligent book that relies on motivational analogy instead of examples and logic. Don't waste your time on this book if you are looking for a serious read about how to move from idea to action.
I feel this read has helped motivate me to do that. I'm especially impressed by the contagious enthusiasm in reading Darby's book, and the tremenduous images one can create of goal completion and personal fulfillment. Of special interest was the idea of getting out the book that is within you. No one could come away empty-handed from reading this book who has whole-heartedly considered its message. Checketts' book, however, is one I continue to revisit. And what a wonderful opportunity to discover the subtle ways in which positive thinking brings the tipping points that help move life in the direction one intends.
I think the reason I do so is because his book does just what leverage is intended to do, the book lifts me up. I've read Darby's book again and again.
A great read. It's not about financial leverage or purely business principles.
It's about being a leader and finding that to lift others up helps achieve personal goals. I've read a lot of great books by a lot of wonderful authors.
Many of the 25 points are energizing and his life experiences he so willingly shares are a legacy.
Amazon should not link this poor substitue of a book about leverage with "Leverage" by Ron Pate. Avoid the mistake that I made.
'Leverage' is a book I will refer to repeatedly for years to come. 'Leverage' is a book I can give with confidence to those I teach and love.Thank you, Darby.
